My name is Lucia Sekoff (she/her) and I am a licensed clinical social worker providing psychotherapy in the Bay Area.
I received my masters in social work from Smith College School for Social Work. I then completed a post-graduate fellowship at Access Institute for Psychological Services in San Francisco, an agency that provides “high-quality psychological care to people of all ages with the greatest need and least access to care.”
My clinical training includes:
Working as a therapist at a public elementary school in Oakland, CA. I offered individual play therapy to children, group therapy, and consultation with parents, teachers and school staff.
Time at UCSF’s Infant-Parent Program where I grew comfortable with the unconventional therapeutic frame of home visiting. I deeply enjoyed supporting parents and their babies (ages 0-3).
My training has equipped me to work with a wide variety of challenges and to offer help to people of different ages, varied gender and cultural presentations, as well as an array of psychological conditions including PTSD, anxiety and depressive disorders.
Overall I am interested in working with all ages and whatever issues you might bring. I do have a particular interest in reproductive and maternal health (I trained as a doula), as well as helping with life transitions, and working with disturbances of anxiety and mood. I have enjoyed working with adults, couples, children, as well as infants.
